CREEC TESTING LABORATORIES GET RECOGNIZED UNDER ISO 17025

The Centre for Research in Energy and Energy Conservation (CREEC) is proud to announce that it is now recognized under the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) Laboratory Recognition Scheme in accordance with the international standard ISO IEC 17025: 2005.

The recognition demonstrates technical competence and operation of a Laboratory Quality Management System to perform cookstove tests and solar PV product tests. The laboratory is thus authorized to use the UNBS recognition number to issue facility reports and/or certificates.

CREEC made a strategic decision on implementing ISO IEC 17025:2005 for the laboratory activities to ensure that its clientele receive the highest level of quality assurance for tests performed. This also further displays CREEC’s commitment to quality in supporting a wide range of manufacturers, designers and product developers for both solar products, cookstoves and cooking fuels.

The Solar PV laboratory offers testing services according to the current IEC standard methods for all solar PV products such as solar modules, batteries, lamps, panels, converters and pico-PV products.
