CREEC at the Regional Convener on Blended Finance and Strategic Partnerships for the PURE Sector

Mr Paul Asiimwe presented the PUE initiatives implemented alongside Ugandan farmer cooperatives in dedicated financier break out rooms.

CREEC was honored to participate in the Regional Convener on Blended Finance and Strategic Partnerships for the Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE) Sector, co-hosted by WRI Africa and GIZ Kenya. This impactful event, held with the support of leading partners including the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Strathmore University, IKEA Foundation, GOGLA, and the Kenya Renewable Energy Association (KEREA), brought together key actors in energy, finance, and sustainability.

The convener served as a dynamic platform to mobilize strategic financing and partnerships aimed at unlocking investments and enhancing consumer finance for sustainable energy solutions across the region. CREEC proudly presented two PURE initiatives implemented with Ugandan farmer cooperatives in dedicated financier breakout rooms. These sessions were a powerful opportunity to demonstrate the real-world potential of sustainable energy in transforming livelihoods and fostering economic development.

In addition, CREEC shared critical findings from its high-impact PURE study, which are now fully integrated into the Energy Access Explorer. This platform empowers stakeholders with data-driven insights to inform policy, investment, and program design for energy access.

As we continue to champion sustainable energy solutions, CREEC remains committed to enabling impactful partnerships that accelerate energy access, uplift communities, and support the productive use of renewable energy. Together, let’s shape a future where clean energy drives inclusive growth and lasting change.
