Driving Sustainable Food Systems Through Regenerative Agriculture & Renewable Energy
Today marks a major milestone for Uganda’s agriculture and energy sectors as the Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development (MEMD) and Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) in partnership with SNV Uganda and with support from the IKEA Foundation, officially launched the Power for Food Partnership (P4FP) program.

As CREEC, we are honored to join this transformative initiative as an implementing partner alongside NARO, ACME Group, NREP, the Africa Centre for Media Excellence, and several other key stakeholders committed to advancing the Regenerative Agriculture (RA) – Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE) nexus.
At CREEC, our work continues to focus on expanding access to clean, reliable, and efficient energy solutions that uplift livelihoods and strengthen community resilience. Through P4FP, we will contribute our expertise in renewable energy innovation, research, and capacity building to ensure farmers and agri-businesses adopt technologies that improve productivity while safeguarding the environment.
The Power for Food Partnership aims to:
✨ Enhance productivity for smallholder farmers
✨ Strengthen food security and climate resilience
✨ Create inclusive economic opportunities through clean energy solutions
We are excited to work alongside the government and partner organizations to build sustainable, resilient, and future-ready food and energy systems for Uganda.
Together, we can power a greener, more prosperous Uganda.
