It starts with better data, stronger partnerships, and solutions that are designed for real-world impact.
Last week, CREEC joined partners from across the continent at the WRI Africa Energy for Development Partners’ Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, to exchange knowledge and explore practical approaches to advancing clean, affordable, and reliable energy.
Representing CREEC, Mr. Pecos Kuteesa shared Uganda’s progress through our partnership with WRI, highlighting work in:
⚡ Subnational Energy Planning – empowering local governments to make evidence-based energy investment decisions.
🌱 Productive Use of Energy – developing an Investment Prospectus that identified high-impact opportunities across five priority agricultural value chains, creating pathways for investment and sustainable growth.
🏥 Healthcare Electrification – generating the evidence needed to support reliable and sustainable energy access for healthcare facilities.
These conversations reinforced a shared vision: when data informs decisions and partnerships drive action, we create solutions that are not only impactful but also investable and scalable.
We are proud to be part of this growing network of partners working towards an energy-secure and sustainable Africa and look forward to strengthening our collaboration with WRI Africa.
